7/7/2023 EnchantaVaughn Approved QMHPA arrived to the home of Ms. Broadnax. Upon arrival to the home, Ms. Broadnax appeared to be in a positive mood evident by her facial expressions such as a smile on the face. Ms. Broadnax did not present any symptoms of S/I or H/I at the time of the session. QMHPA discussed with Ms. Broadnax healthy relationship and being able to communicate with family and friends without displaying inappropriate behaviors. QMHPA explained to Ms. Broadnax about letting go grudges in the past between family members. QMHPA explained to Ms. Broadnax that depression can occur from previous grudges and carrying a chip on her shoulder. QMHPA reviewed with Ms. Broadnax appropriate coping techniques to handle depression. QMHPA explained to Ms. Broadnax when experiencing depression, she should interact with others, read, journal, or breathing exercises. QMHPA encouraged Ms. Broadnax to work out or go walking when experiencing depression. QMHPA discussed with Ms. Broadnax applying appropriate behavioral strategies to assist with anxiety and depression. Ms. Broadnax said she is beginning to become depressed because her daughter and her male friend is doing too much and starting to do more things out of the normal that is causing her to be depressed. Ms. Broadnax said she would walk but not in her neighborhood because they do too much shooting and honestly there is nothing safe in this world today. She expressed to QMHPA that she becomes depressed when she listens to the news and hear the killings that are in her area. Ms. Broadnax said she will talk to QMHPA only and her male friend but it’s difficult to talk with others in her family especially her daughter and her son. Ms. Broadnax said she read and practice proper calming techniques but will fall asleep from boredom and the house being quiet.
